HIS 393 - Modern Central America: Imperialism, Nationalism, and Struggle.
This course explores the history of Central America's five Hispanic republics: Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, which have all been principal sites of U.S. imperialism since the nineteenth century. Looking at both primary and secondary sources students examine key events in the individual and shared histories of Central America's nations.
Prerequisite(s): 3 credits in History.
