Program Requirements - 42 Credits

As sequencing changes, it is highly recommended that students meet with their program advisor to finalize a list of requirements for graduation.  

Core Requirements (33-36 Credits)
('C+' or better required)

PCH 500 – Foundations of Public Health *
PCH 510 – Environmental Health 
PCH 515 – Biostatistics
PCH 516 – Public Health Research
PCH 520 – Social and Behavioral Foundations in PH
PCH 525 – Diversity in Health Organizations
PCH 548 – Public Health Administration 
PCH 549 – Public Health Leadership
PCH 550 – Strategic Planning for Health Organizations
PCH 551 – Epidemiology 
PCH 564 – Health Systems and Policy 
PCH 595 – Public Health Internship 

*PCH 500 – may be waived for students that enter the program with foundational knowledge as identified during the admissions process.

Electives (3-6 Credits)
Choose 3-6 credits to apply towards the elective credit requirement.  These courses must be offered at the graduate level and be selected with advisement.   

Capstone (3 Credits)
PCH 593 – Special Project Capstone 
Note: An overall grade point average of 3.0 is required to begin the capstone and for graduation.
