Transfer Credit Policies
Southern Connecticut State University accepts transfer credit earned from courses taken at regionally accredited institutions and recognizes learning experiences outside the traditional college classroom may be equivalent to those that occur in the classroom in terms of meeting the objectives of established courses and programs. Acceptance of transfer and alternative credit varies depending upon specific degree requirements and relevant departmental, school or college, and/or external accrediting agency standards. Students must meet all graduation requirements in order to earn an undergraduate degree from Southern. This includes completing a minimum of 120 credits for a bachelor’s degree and taking at least 30 credits at Southern.
