The School of Business offers a business major with concentrations in accounting, business economics, finance, human resources management, international business, management, business information systems, marketing, and public utilities management leading to the Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. The program builds on a strong foundation in liberal arts and offers an in-depth knowledge in a particular business area. The Business Administration Program prepares students both for graduate study in economics, business administration, or law and for seeking entry-level professional positions in business, industry, and government. In addition, the Department of Economics in the School of Business offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.
A student interested in a degree in the School of Business, whether a freshman or a transfer student, should consult a faculty adviser or the dean of the School of Business. In addition, the School of Business offers the M.B.A. degree in business administration.
Students enrolled in other schools or colleges at SCSU are welcome to take business courses provided they meet all prerequisites. However, students from other schools or colleges are allowed to take a maximum of 30 credits of coursework in the School of Business. Exceptions to this policy may be granted only with the written permission by the dean of the School of Business. School of Business academic disciplines include:
