Residence Status

Residency for tuition purposes is initially determined at the time of application for admission. Students classified as out-of-state residents who believe they qualify for in-state tuition as a Connecticut resident (per Connecticut General Statute 10a-26) may file a Residency Reclassification Application.

International students with temporary U.S. government status (e.g., visa holders) cannot establish permanent residence in Connecticut for tuition purposes and are considered out-of-state residents.

As a reminder, all students must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct & Statement of Disciplinary Procedures, which prohibits providing false information to school officials.
