This is an educator preparation program in the State of Connecticut with additional admission requirements (see Admissions to Educator Preparation Programs). Candidates recommended for certification must also meet any additional Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) requirements (see Academic Policies for Educator Preparation Programs) in effect on the date CSDE receives the certification application.

RDG 668 – Practicum in Diagnosis of Reading and Language Arts Difficulties
RDG 670 – Literacy Interventions for Struggling Readers and Writers
RDG 671 – Diversity in Literacy
RDG 679 – Practicum in Remedial Reading and Language Arts
RDG 765 – Practicum and Seminar in Reading and Language Arts Research
Comprehensive Examination
Students are required to complete 30 graduate credits in a planned program and pass
the comprehensive examination.
