WLL 580 - Latin and Romance Languages

Development of Latin into the modern Romance languages (principally French, Italian, and Spanish), one of the great case-studies in linguistic history. Some attention to applying history to classroom instruction. Scheduled every other spring semester.

Prerequisite(s): WLL 502 and graduate status in department or successful completion of a third year course in French , Spanish, or Italian (or the equivalent), or one year of Latin. Scheduled every other spring semester.
