Critical theory of the 20th century in the context of current theoretical developments. Critical perspectives and schools may include: Structuralism, formalism, Marxism, New Historicism, feminism, African American theoretical thought, post-colonial theory, Deconstruction, and psychoanalysis as well as other theoretical positions.
