Certification

The Certification Program is designed for non-majors who wish to pursue teacher certification in physical education. The program includes undergraduate courses which are required to meet state certification requirements. Refer to the section entitled "Admission to Teacher Certification Programs" in the beginning of this catalog under "Application and Admission" for additional information regarding acceptance to a certification program, Praxis® examinations, and student teaching.  

Program Sequence - 83.5 Credits

As sequencing changes, it is highly recommended that students meet with their program advisor to finalize a list of requirements for graduation.

Other Requirements/Conditions
Formal Acceptance to the School of Education and the Exercise Science Department is contingent upon successful completion of EXS 281, 282, 291, 292 & 293 (3-Credits). In addition all state requirements must be met.
