Core Requirements (3 Credits)
PSC 501 – Research Methods in Political Science
Electives (21 Credits)
Select 21 credits in PSC 500-level or above.
Recommend IDS 553 – Grant Writing and Funding Sources.
Recommend SWK 584 – Non Profit Fiscal Management.
Up to 6 credits in other graduate programs including History, Public Health, Business,
and others are possible with the approval of the graduate coordinator.
Capstone (6 Credits)
Option 1: Master's Thesis
PSC 585 – Thesis Proposal in Political Science
PSC 591 – Thesis Research in Political Science
Option 2: Comprehensive Examination
6 additional elective credits and pass a comprehensive examination.
Option 3: Special Project
PSC 601 – Special Project in Political Science and 3 additional elective credits.
